Every travel channel about Istanbul looks the same: drone shot of the Bosphorus, Hagia Sophia at golden hour, a voiceover explaining what a simit is. Few words about inflation and price comparisons.

The premise is simple: one person who actually lives here (me), noticing what a visitor wouldn't think to film.

Not the sights — the rhythm. The ferry conductor who's made the same joke every morning for a decade. The tea seller who still hand-writes his tabs. The five-minute walk that changes character three times before you reach the water.

Same host, every episode — not as a brand device, but because the whole point is a consistent point of view. You're not getting Istanbul. You're getting one person's Istanbul, episode after episode, and trusting that accumulates into something more honest than any single highlight reel could.

No script beyond a loose idea per episode. Shot handheld, mostly single takes, edited to keep the accidents in — a car horn mid-sentence, a cat that wanders into frame and stays. The imperfection isn't a style choice bolted on after the fact.
