I'm Alexander — a Creative Director and video producer currently leading production for the largest online school in the Russian-speaking market, where I've spent the last five years turning “we don't have time for this” into finished work anyway. A three-day AI-built promo when the shoot window had already closed. A course that had to stay relevant for eight years, filmed across six countries without a reshoot budget. An animated series built from a pipeline that didn't exist yet, because the traditional one didn't fit.
I started in filmmaking — a Master's in Moscow, a documentary shot half in Chicago, half at home, a diploma film that made it to a festival shortlist. What I actually learned there wasn't camera technique. It was how to build a whole world out of almost nothing, on a deadline that doesn't care whether you're ready.
That instinct is still what I lead with. I've grown a creative department from 15 people to 70. I've tested 47 AI tools to find the 7 that actually earn their place in a real production pipeline — not because AI is trendy, but because I'm genuinely curious what it makes possible that wasn't before. I built a TikTok channel to 1.2 million followers by trusting a native, unpolished instinct two years before the data agreed with me.
Outside of client work, I shoot film — mostly analog, mostly Nikon — and some of it has ended up on gallery walls in New York, London, and Tbilisi. I like the discipline of not knowing if the shot worked until much later. It's a good check on someone who spends most of his week making instant, high-volume digital content.
I'm currently building toward my next chapter — international, ambitious, and probably still involving a deadline that shouldn't be possible.
